Colors is a 1988 American police procedural action crime film starring Sean Penn and Robert Duvall, and directed by Dennis Hopper. Then Sean Penn added to the theory by happenstance that not only is the car color bright yellow like Pac Man , but Pac Man had the ability to catch vulnerable ghosts the same way that Sean Penn & Robert Duvall were catching vulnerable criminals off guard the way they did to their advantage. I remember when this movie first came out I was in Jr. high school.

Colors was a controversial movie talked about by teachers, principles and parents because, believe it or not, it had a tendency for glorification and encouraging gang membership. The bright yellow color of the car they were given was the first reason why they were given the name Pac Man. The film takes place in the gang ridden neighborhoods of Los Angeles: late-1980s' South Central Los Angeles, Echo Park, Westlake and East Los Angeles.
