Traditional naan bread is a staple bread in many East Asian countries, like India and Sri Lanka. While kneading bread dough is a very satisfying, relaxing process, if you have an electric stand mixer with a dough hook, creating naan can be quick and simple. For those times when you want to make bread but you don’t have yeast or sourdough starter: yogurt naan is the answer. Either will work to create the perfect texture for your recipe.

But the dough used to make the naan flatbread is made with two ingredients: self-rising flour and greek yogurt. This Naan bread recipe is so easy to make, and super yummy!

In a glass measuring cup, combine the yeast, sugar, and water and let sit until very foamy, about 10 minutes.Meanwhile, whisk the flour and salt together in a large bowl and create a well in the center.
