[SPOILERS THROUGH THE END OF THE REVIEW] MY THOUGHTS ON THE ENDING. I've been a bit hesitant to watch the final 2 episodes because I knew this was coming - there is no way for Lee Gak and Bak Ha to stay together . Rooftop Prince started off centering around the Joseon boys but ended up really being about the love between a Joseon prince and his true lady love. Rooftop Prince Ending [Spoilers] Preface: It is my belief that the real Tae Yong in the final episode was a completely different person from Lee Gak and does not have the latter's memories. Lee Gak who spends the rest of his life longing for Park Ha, and Park Ha who longing for Lee Gak and falls in love with Yong Tae Yong, to some extend seems to be a happy ending, but this ending inevitable is also the saddest ending. Well, wouldn’tcha know: Here’s a surprisingly satisfying ending for a series that was in danger of losing its way on multiple occasions. “Rooftop Prince” brought laughter and tears to the audience at the same time for 3 months.
