So on that cliff-hanger, here’s my Bulleit Rye review. I also like WT Rye 81 but the Bulleit Rye is better in my opinion. The taste is exceptionally smooth, with hints of vanilla, honey, and spice. Only ingredients of the very highest quality are used. Being around since the late 1800’s is something that can give a Whiskey much credence in this world, and those are some big numbers behind it. Kentucky limestone-filtered water provides a foundation for the bourbon's character, while charred American oak barrels lend a smoky backbone. So I wasn’t exactly tingling with anticipation when I cracked the Bulleit 95 Rye open and poured a glass. In the 7 years between 2007 and 2014, sales increased by a staggering 1700%. The subtlety and complexity of Bulleit Bourbon come from its unique blend of rye, corn, and barley malt, along with special strains of yeast and pure Kentucky limestone filtered water. Bulletin Rye is one of my favorite whiskies and I think I like it a little better than you do. High rye content gives it a bold, spicy character with a distinctively smooth, clean finish.
