International Relations. As a general rule, the Department requires that applicants to the Ph.D. program have an undergraduate degree and an M.A.in Political Science. A minimum of 120 credits in university courses must be completed. Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration in Accounting (PhD) Adult Learning and Education. The UBC Library Data Services has one of the largest collections of data sets in Canada, at Abacus Dataverse Network. The remaining credits can be electives in any field or faculty. If a program is not listed in this overview or if individual component scores are not listed, the UBC standard minimum requirements apply: overall band score of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in each component of the academic (NOT general) IELTS test. For use as electives, at most, 12 of the 120 credits may be from non-Arts and non-Science baccalaureate courses. Doctor of Philosophy Admission Requirements. Students who wish to study International Relations at UBC at the graduate level can do this as part of their program within an established department (e.g., the departments of History or Political Science).

About 30% of master’s students, and 44% of doctoral students at UBC Vancouver are international students. UBC values diversity and strongly encourages high achieving international students to apply to our graduate programs. At least 30 of those must be Science courses, but your program may require more than 30. The International Relations program is offered at the undergraduate level as a major or minor in the Bachelor of Arts.
