I'm 16 and a junior in high school.
Quarterback Xander Jedlick has been a significant component to the football team’s successful season. So right now I'm like an up and down player when i go up i sent the bench and when i go down i start. Last week, I gave you a scenario where the varsity coach asked you, an above average underclassman player, to join his team with limited playing time, rather than start on your school’s JV team. It will get you plenty of playing time and you can make an impression on the Varsity coach if he watches the games, so you might get pulled up if you're really good. I pretty good at baseball but on my varsity team their is a lot of seniors and some juniors that have been their since their freshmen year. Ocean Lakes did not lose a regular season game and they made it to the state semi-final. Not realizing that my antics would cause so much animosity and debate within the NCSA blog community, I have one thing […] Depends on which sport in my opinion, if your son/daughter is dedicated it’s best to play as often as possible. From JV bench to varsity starter. On game days I played 3 quarters of the JV game and sat on the bench for the varsity games, sometimes playing sparingly. He chose that right thing and went for starting on JV. This was for basketball, football may be another story. Look into summer leagues and AAU programs. Xander Jedlick walks with his family on the Kellam football field for the Dolphins senior night on Nov. 9. He was told he was good enough for Varsity, but was too short for it and that he could probably just be a bench-warmer. I'm kind of tired of siting the bench and would just rather play on JV.
